Golfing

If you’ve never encountered mountain golf at Lake Tahoe, you’re in for a unique adventure. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe, two golf courses (the Championship Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and the Executive Course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.) will both challenge and delight.

For the blue tees, the par-72 Championship Course is over 6,900 yards long, with a 72.6 course rating. If the elevation of 6,500 feet above sea level doesn’t take your breath away, the incredible mountain setting in which you’re playing might. You’ll experience greater distance with every shot due to the altitude, but with tightly cut fairways bordered by towering pines, you’d better be accurate. Bunkered greens and water hazards await approach shots on just about every hole. You’ll wonder how the course record of 63 was ever achieved.

The Executive Course is recognized as one of the finest layouts of its type in the world and has been host to the National Championship of Executive Courses. This par-58 course features 14 creative and challenging par-3s averaging over 150 yards in length and four par-4s. Straight shots are in your best interest, as the sloping designs of the landing areas among the lofty pines are not forgiving.

Hiking

Guided Hikes

The Flume Trail begins above Incline Village on the north east shore of Lake Tahoe. It is an easy hike along a deserted water flume dating back to the late 1800’s. This hike offers some of the best panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. This trail is not on any map so it is very peaceful. Small streams cross the path and in spring and summer, wildflowers abound. In the fall the aspen foliage comes alive.

Guided Snowshoe Hike

This tour begins above Incline Village where guides will instruct participants on how to use snowshoes. Then guides will lead the group among tall pine trees and through a beautiful winter wonderland. The group will be led to a secluded panoramic vista of Lake Tahoe where warm drinks are served (if it’s a cold day) and snacks. Throughout the tour, guides will discuss the local flora, fauna, geology and history of the area. Our Guided Snowshoe Hike offers individuals and groups a unique activity.

Biking

Take one of our high tech bikes down Lakeshore Drive or on mountainous dirt trails. Our guides are very familiar with the trails of Lake Tahoe and will guide you on or off the beaten path.

Bikes are available for rent at hotel.
